Fred "Keith" Jackson, age 87, passed away on Wed., July 20, 2016 at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia.  He was born in Scandia, Kansas on March 4, 1929 to Fred M. and Esther O. (Johnson) Jackson.

Keith was a 1947 graduate of Scandia High School. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.

On June 14, 1952 he married Freda M. Bouley in Concordia.

Keith worked for KPL Gas Company as a Serviceman for 37 years in the Concordia Community retiring in 1991.

He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, VFW Post #588 & American Legion Post # 76.

His hobbies included gardening, KU Basketball and most of all spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Freda; son, Jim Jackson (Susan), Concordia; daughters, Susan Goodman and Cindy Peterson (Mike), Salina; sons, John Jackson (Karen), San Diego, CA. & Ron Jackson (Leila), Manhattan; daughter, Lori Walter (Brian), Salina; 8 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Linda Jackson; 1 brother, Arthur Jackson; 2 sisters, Eleanor Kitchen & Bernice McMullen.

Visitation will be from 12-8 pm, Sun., July 24, 2016 with a Vigil/Knights of Columbus Rosary service at 6 pm all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends after the Vigil service.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Mon., July 25, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery.  Military Honor Guard by Ft. Riley Big Red One and the Local VFW Post # 588 and American Legion Post #76.

The family suggests memorials to Hood Park Neighbors in care of the funeral home.
