Gaye N. (Sanders) Newlin, 74 years of age, of Concordia, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia. She was born on March 1, 1937 in Ionia to Lawrence and Eva (Leavitt) Sanders. Gaye graduated from Mankato High School in 1954. She married Oscar "Flash" Newlin on June 6, 1954 in Mankato . Gaye was an Accounts Receivable Clerk for West Plains Electric for over 20 years.

Gaye is survived by two sons, Lance Newlin, Mark Newlin; a daughter, Lisa Partridge and husband John, all of Concordia; three grandchildren, Tarrah Hintz and husband Patrick of Flagstaff, Arizona, Dustin Newlin and wife Casey of Concordia, Derek Newlin and wife Paula of Downs; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Gearald Sanders and wife Joyce of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Oscar "Flash" Newlin on August 8, 1994; and son Martin Newlin on August 30, 2008.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 30, 2011 in the First Christian Church in Concordia with Rev. Jeff Nielsen officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia. Visitation will be held from noon - 9 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the First Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
