George E. Mikesell, age 77, of Jamestown, KS, died Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS.  He was born on May 10, 1944 in Belleville, KS to Charles E. & Mary Hope (Irwin) Mikesell.

George graduated from Belleville High School and attended Kansas Wesleyan University for two years while playing football and graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Business and a minor in Education.  George owned and operated Concordia Automotive for 30 plus years and farmed in the local area.  He married Brenda Stortz and to this union were born, Robert, William and Mary.

He is survived by his sons, Bob Mikesell (Kathy), Jamestown & Bill Mikesell (Katie), Aurora; daughter, Mary Tippie (John), Nevada, MO; brothers, Merrel Mikesell (Nancy), Lincoln, NE & John Mikesell (Margie), Sula, MT;  grandchildren, Ashlee & Hannah Haist, Blake, Tristan, Andrew & Liam Mikesell & Jase & Mason Tippie; great grandchild, Karrington Haist & sisters in law, Sharon Mikesell, Payette, ID, Wilma Mikesell, Courtland & Evelyn Mikesell, Boise, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nancy Mikesell & brothers, Charles, Wayne, Kenneth & Quentin.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, August 13, 2021 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.  Burial will follow at the Belleville City Cemetery, Belleville, KS.  Visitation will be from 1-8 pm, Thursday, August 12, 2021 with family greeting friends from 6-7 pm at the funeral home.  The family suggests memorials be made to the family to be designated at a later date in care of the funeral home.  For online condolences, please visit www.chaputbuoy.com.
