Gerald E. Bergeson was born on Oct. 17, 1938 in Concordia, KS to Joe E. and Eva M. Nelson Bergeson. He passed from this life on Wed., July 23, 2008 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS at the age of 69. He graduated from Jamestown High School. He married Anna Jeanette Andersen on Dec. 5, 1958 in Formoso, KS. He was a lifelong Jamestown area resident and farmer until retiring and moving to Salina in Jan. 2004. He was a member of The Baptist Church, ELKS Lodge, Moose Lodge #1428 all of Concordia. He also was a member of the Board of Directors of N.C.K. Production Credit Assoc. and the Jamestown Co-Op Elevator. He was an avid hunter, bowler and coached Pee-Wee and Babe Ruth baseball. He is survived by his wife, Anna Jeanette, Salina; sons, Brett W. and wife Jeri Ann, Salina and Bryan W. and wife Shirley, Mora, MO; daughter, A. Christine Seaton and husband Robert, Wichita; his mother, Eva, Jamestown; brothers, Bill Bergeson and wife Karen, Salina and Darrell Bergeson and wife Betty, Sprinfield, MO; grandchildren, Britt and Cody Runft, Luke Seaton, Emily, Jacob, Zachary, Kyle, Bradley, Blaire and Benjamin Bergeson. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Sat., July 26, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Pastor Kevin Hazelton officiating. Burial will follow the services at Morrison Cemetery, S.W. of Concordia. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family greeting friends from 7-8 PM, Friday, July 25, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Assoc. or Cheyenne Lodge Nursing Home.
