Gerald "Jerry" Brown, Jr. was born in Walldorf, Germany to Gerald "Gary" & Luise (Tron) Brown, Sr.. He passed from this life at his residence in Concordia, Kansas on Wed., March 18, 2009 at the age of 53. Jerry graduated high school in Victorville, CA. He worked for Scrivner Foods and later was a material handler for Alstom Power in Concordia. He married Dee Strait on July 31, 1998 in Concordia, KS. Jerry's passion was the Con-Kids wrestling club and helping coach Salvation Army Football and Little League baseball. Jerry always enjoyed supporting his children's athletic activities. Jerry is survived by his wife, Dee Brown, Concordia, KS; his sons, Kevin Brown & wife Holly, Concordia, KS, Jake Strait & Ryan Tegethoff, Manhattan, KS, Josh Brown & Katy Riese, Hays, KS. Jordan Brown, Concordia, KS & Jarin Brown, Concordia, KS; grandchildren, Drew & Jaci Brown, Concordia, KS; mother, Luise Brown, Concordia, KS; sisters, Diana Snyder & husband Brad, Concordia, KS & Shirley LeDuc & husband Troy, Concordia, KS; brother, Bill Brown & wife Charity, Concordia, KS & several nieces, nephews & a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald "Gary" Brown, Sr.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Monday, March 23, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. James Dallen & Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-9 PM with a vigil service at 6:30 PM, Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. Burial will follow the services at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the Brown Children Education Fund or Con-Kids Wrestling Club.
