Gerald R. Thoman, age 59, died Thurs., Aug. 22, 2013 at Cloud County Health Center , Concordia. He was born on Oct. 24, 1953 in Concordia , KS to Wilfred "Tommy" & Margaret Jane (Charbonneau) Thoman.

Gerald attended Dist. 93 Salt Marsh country school and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1972. Gerald graduated from the Missouri Auction School in 1976. He married Marilyn Sorell on June 4, 1977 in Concordia. Gerald enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports on TV. He enjoyed spending Sat. mornings at McDonald's with his grandson, Dylan and playing board games with his granddaughter, Zaide. Gerald attended most high school sporting events so he could watch his daughter, Ashley dance and his boys playing football and telling jokes.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Doug Thoman & wife Holly, Concordia & Brian Thoman & wife Casey, Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Ashley Thoman, Hays; mother, Jane, Jamestown; brothers, Gary & wife Vicky, Scandia, Chris & wife Christine, Derby, Tom & wife Dawn, Jamestown; sisters, Linda Revell, Jamestown & Ronda Thoman, Concordia; grandchildren, Zaide & Dylan Thoman, Concordia & Morgan Thoman, Indianapolis, IN & many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred; brothers, Barry & Jeff & sister, Kelly.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Mon, Aug. 26, 2013 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Lager officiating. Burial will follow the services at St. Concordia Cemetery. The family selected cremation and friends may sign the register book from 12-6 pm with family greeting friends from 2-4 pm, Sun. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Gerald R. Thoman Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
