Germaine "Gerry" Schwerman, age 76, died Sun, June 23, 2013 at her home in Salina, KS. She was born on Oct. 18, 1936 in Concordia, KS to Paul & Lucille A. (Dutel) Charbonneau.

Gerry graduated high school from Mt. Saint Scholastica in Atchison. She received her bachelor's degree from Marymount College, Salina. Gerry was a geriatric aid at Cheyenne Lodge Nursing Home, Jamestown until her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Slater & hus. Gregory, Salina; son, John Schwerman, Phillipsburg; sister, Mary Bennett, Hendersonville, TN; 7 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents & step-mother, Theresa Charbonneau.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Thurs., June 27, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Barry Brinkman officiating. Cremation will follow the services and burial will be at a later time in the St. Concordia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 am to 9 pm, Wed. with an Altar Society Rosary at 5 pm and Vigil services at 6:30 pm all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
