Gina Sue Stokes, 51, of Formoso , Kansas passed away January 21, 2011 at Salina Regional Health Center . She was born on January 13, 1960 in Phillipsburg , Kansas to Robert and Virginia (Lehman) Stokes. The family moved to Fontana , California in 1961. Gina graduated from Alta Loma High School in 1978. After graduation, she attended college at the University of San Diego . Upon leaving college, Gina was employed in restaurant managerial positions. She returned to Kansas City , Missouri in March of 1988 where she was employed by Advantage Sales Inc. In 2007, Gina moved to rural Formoso to live with her mother. She was employed by OCCK. She currently worked as a Sales Representative for F & A Food Sales. Gina was a member of United Methodist Church in Rancho Cucamonga , California . She made Ada Lutheran Church her church home while residing with her mother. She was also a member of Women of the Moose. Gina had a great love of fishing, gardening, the Kansas City Chiefs, and other sports. She will be missed by family and friends and will remain in our hearts forever.

Gina is survived by her mother, Virginia Stokes; 3 brothers, David Stokes and wife Judy of Stephenville, TX, Mark Stokes of Formoso , KS , Darren Stokes of Blue Springs , MO ; nieces Suanne, Shana, and Sharla Stokes; one great niece, and two great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Stokes.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 28, 2011 in the Ada Lutheran Church , Courtland , Kansas with Rev. Delvin Strecker officiating. Interment will be in the Ada Lutheran Cemetery . Visitation will be held from 9 AM – 9 PM Thursday, January 27, 2011 with family greeting friends from 5-7 PM at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia and one hour preceding the service at the church. A memorial has been established to the church with the funeral home in charge.
