Obituary

Glen Leo Hoober, Jr., 85 years of age, of Concordia, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia. He was born on November 2, 1926 in Concordia to Glen Leo, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth (Brown) Hoober. Glen was a retired farmer-stockman, raising Hereford cattle southwest of Concordia, and also a real estate broker. He was a member of The Baptist Church, member and past commander of VFW Post 588, former member of the Elks and Moose Lodges, all in Concordia. Glen served his country in the US Navy during WWII.

Glen is survived by his daughter, Amy Lee Hoober of Colorado Springs , Colorado ; son, Brian James Hoober of Concordia; sister, Pauline Collins of San Jose , California ; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lucille Hoober Pickhard; and a brother, Frank Hoober.

A memorial service will be held by the family at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 17, 2011 at The Baptist Church in Concordia with Rev. David Fabarez and Rev. Kent Otott officiating. Private inurnment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia. There will be no visitation. A memorial has been established to the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home.
