Harold C. Granere, age 98, entered into rest on Mon, Jan. 4, 2016 at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, Kansas. He was born July 23, 1917 in York, Nebraska to John and Edna (Peterson) Granere.

Harold grew up in Washington County, Kansas. He graduated 8 ^th grade from Marcotte Country School in Rural Washington County. Harold was a Clyde High School Graduate.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed Bible Class and Fellowship Hour. He also was part of the men's group & the annual pancake supper. Communion had a special meaning in his life. He enjoyed gardening, especially raising onions and sweet potatoes.

Family members include: Evelyn Peterson & family, Clifton; Jean Peterson & family, Manhattan; Caroline Peterson & family, Clifton; Delores (Davis) Surpenant, Snohomish, WA; Trudy (Peterson) Collins, Diamond Springs, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Norma Granere, and cousins, Verlin, Don & Dale Peterson, Connie (Coates) Allen, Gertrude (Shea) Dhority.

Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Chaput Mortuary in Clyde with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Clyde. Rev. Tom Sahl will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
