Harry Lee Comstock, age 83, passed away on April 23, 2026 in Concordia, Kansas. He was born on January 31, 1943, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of James Lewis and Mildred Stella Sproul Comstock. 

Harry dedicated much of his life to his work as a regional meat specialist and cutter, a role he took pride in and carried out with skill and dedication. Outside of work, he enjoyed participating in his bowling league, spending time with his family—especially his grandchildren—and was well known for his playful sense of humor and talent as a practical joker. 

He is survived by his sons, Tim Comstock, Joel (Robin) Comstock, David Comstock, and Nathan Comstock. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Jacob (Jacey) Comstock, Makenna (Trevor) Comstock, Jesse Comstock, Samantha Comstock, Megan Comstock, Abi (Brandom) Comstock, Titan (Griselda) Comstock, Sophia Comstock, and Gracie Comstock; and great-grandchildren, Wrenley, Jeremiah, Aaron, Sierra, and Sophia. Harry is also survived by his siblings, June (Ted) Wyllie, Harold (Carol) Comstock, and Dean (Bonnie) Comstock, along with many cousins and extended family members. 

He was preceded in death by James Lewis Comstock, Mildred Stella Sproul Comstock, Morris (Peggy) Comstock, Barbara Shaw, Ina Comstock, Chuck Comstock, and a great granddaughter Leilani Comstock.

Harry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for family, and the laughter he brought to those around him. 

Per Harry’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
