Helen Jindra was born on September 6, 1914 in Rural Ottawa County, Kansas to Joseph and Mary (Kohler) Ziegler.  She passed from this life on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008 at Sunset Nursing Home in Concordia, KS at the age of 94. S he graduated from Ada High School. She married Joe Jindra on Jan. 9, 1940 in Beloit, KS. He preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 2002. She was a homemaker and they lived their entire married life in Simpson. She moved to Sunset Nursing Home in Concordia in 2003. She was a member of the Simpson Community Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and E.H.U.  She is survived by her daughters: Marcia McCauslin & husband David, Aurora, CO & Ruth Webster & husband Larry, Winnemucca, NV; a son: Joe Jindra & wife Maria, Concordia, KS; grandchildren: Toby Webster, Reno, NV, Eric Jindra, Manhattan, KS, Sarah Jindra, Concordia, KS and Jennifer King & husband Brian, Ramona, CA and great grandchildren: Ethan & Anna King, Ramona, CA.  She was preceded in death by her husband-Joe; parents; 3 brothers; a sister & 1 grandson-Travis Webster.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at the Simpson Community Church, Simpson, KS with Pastor Dennis Finch officiating.  Burial will follow the services at the Bohemian National Cemetery, Ottawa County, KS.  Visitation will be held from 2-9 PM Sun. & 9 AM to 9 PM Mon., Nov. 10, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.  The family suggests memorials to the Bohemian Hall Preservation Fund or the Simpson Community Church.
