He passed from this life on March 2, 2011 at his home in
Pahrump
,
Nevada
at the age of 77.
Howard graduated from
Glasco
High School
in 1951 in
Glasco
,
KS
at the age of 18.
Howard married Betty Prickett that same year and from that union 6 children were born.
Howard worked for his father's trucking company, Studt Truck Line, until 1964 when he moved to
California
to continue his trucking career and even became a trucking school instructor.
He married Sharon Ward on February 19, 1972 and they lived in
Pomona
,
California
until 1991.
At the time of his retirement he moved from
California
to
Pahrump
,
Nevada
where he lived and tinkered in his garage.
He found great joy in making tin men out of orange juice cans and spending time with his loving dog Peaches.
Howard was quite the jokester and enjoyed making people laugh and getting the last word in.
Howard is survived by one brother, Burton Studt and wife Ida of Glasco, KS; five children, son, Terry Studt and wife Janiece of Shawnee, KS; daughter, Chris (Studt) Vogel and husband Carl of San Antonio, TX; son, Tony Studt and wife Kristy of Concordia, KS; son Scott Studt and wife Maggie of Glasco, KS; daughter Tammy (Studt) Budreau and husband Kip of Concordia, KS; niece, Annette (Studt) Ravens and husband George of O'Fallon, MO; nephew, Kent Studt and friend Jo of Glasco, KS; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, parents Ira and Minnie Studt, son Michael, and grandson Justin Kip Budreau.
There will be a private graveside service on March 19, 2011.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to charities of the donor's choice in memory of Howard.
