Ima Jean Chavey, entered into rest on, November 14, 2014 at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas. She was born June 5, 1946 in Lawrence, Kansas to George Henry and Virginia Mary (Moore) Ambler. The middle of five sisters.
She was a 1964 Graduate of McClouth High School, McClouth, Kansas.
She married Gerald Chavey on August 6, 1966 in Clyde, Kansas.
Ima Jean had a business office in Concordia, Kansas for over 40 years
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church; Altar Society. She was a longtime Catholic Religion (CCD) Teacher.
Survivors include her husband Gerald Chavey, Concordia; Daughter, April Chavey, Idaho Falls, Idaho; 2 grandsons, Nathan Walker, Dachau, Germany and Jordan Walker, Wichita, KS.; Special friend of the family Regan Littrell
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 9 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Altar Society Rosary Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral in Concordia.
A Vigil Service will be held 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Brian Lager officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia.
In lieu of flowers, Family requests memorial contributions to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, CCD Religious program in care of the Funeral Home. For online condolences may be sent to www.chaputbuoy.com .
