Irene M. McAdams VanDusen, 94, of Cambridge, Illinois died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at Hillcrest Home, rural Geneseo, Illinois. Irene Melvina Foster was born Aug. 25, 1916, in Muscotah, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Anna (Maier) Foster, and her mother remarried and she was raised by her mother Anna and her step-father, Richard I. Gill. Irene married Claude McAdams on May 5, 1933 and to this union they had a daughter Joan. Claude died on March 15, 1961. In the fall of 1961 Irene went to work for JC Penney's in Concordia, Kansas, and worked there until her marriage to Alvin VanDusen in 1983. He also preceded her in death on July 26, 2001.Survivors include her daughter, Joan "Jo" Price, of Cambridge, Illinois; granddaughter, Janet Price (James Ruminski) Aurora, Colorado; grandsons, Casey (Laurie) Price of Taylor Ridge, Illinois and Aaron (Cristina) Price of Nampa, Idaho; great-grandchildren, Adam and Chrissy Price of Milan, Illinois, Michelle, Michael and Melissa Price of Nampa, Idaho and Danielle Price and her fiancé Lance Westerlund of Cambridge, Illinois; great-great-grandchildren, Brendan and Kaycee Price of Milan, Illinois; sister-in-law, Hazel Gill of Clifton, Kansas; three nephews and a niece. Irene was preceded in death by her two husbands, son-in-law, Norman Price, two grandsons, a great-grandson, her parents and her brother, Fred.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Chaput Mortuary in Clyde with Pastor L. Dean Thompson officiating. Burial of Cremains will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Clyde. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be left to the Donor's Choice. Chaput Mortuary in Clyde in charge of arrangements.
