Isabell Albertine (Ouellette) Robbins Gentry, 100 years of age, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born on February 13, 1914 at Como to Joseph and Bernadette (Guimond) Ouellette. Isabell was married to Leo Robbins and later to Julian Gentry.
Isabell was always dedicated to her Catholic Faith. She was a life time member of the Altar Society and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Isabell enjoyed traveling with her daughter and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Isabell is survived by her daughter, Mary Gentry; grandson, Aric Gentry and wife Eileen; great grandchildren, Richard and Kylie Gentry, Michaela Lewis, all of Topeka; grandchildren, Tom, Donna, Chris, Beth, and Bernadette Robbins and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Julian on September 19, 1976; son, Eldon Robbins in 1982; and siblings, Teresa Rogers, Antionette St. Aubin, Louis Ouellette, Louise Lewis, Olive Haskins, Leo Ouellette, and Maxine Danielson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 23, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde with Rev. Larry Letourneau and Rev. Anthony Saiki officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Clyde. Visitation will be held that morning at the church in Clyde. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM Saturday in the church. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of the funeral home. Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia is in charge of arrangements.
