Isabelle Kathryn Cote was born October 18, 1921 in Aurora, KS to Emery and Denora Letourneau Chaput. She passed away from this life on March 31, 2008 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS. She married Elden R. Cote on June 17, 1941 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Aurora, KS. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1992. Isabelle and Elden farmed in the vicinity for 15 years. After moving to Minneapolis in 1957, she was a homemaker and cook at the Minneapolis grade and high school for 14 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and Altar Society- of Concordia, St. Mary's Queen of the Universe Catholic Church- Salina, and Legion of Mary and Altar Society of Minneapolis. She is survived by eight daughters: Joan Brown, Salina, KS; Carol Cyre, Rockton, IL; Mary Drummond & hus Gary, Salina, KS; Margery Williams & hus George, Olathe, KS; Betty Hernandez, Lawrence, KS; Janice Rupert, Salina, KS; Christine Gehring & hus Steve, Springtown, TX; and Cynthia Paladino & hus Kevin, Omaha, NE; Brother: Bernard Chaput and wife Leah, FederalWay, WA; Sister: Elaine McRae and hus Earle, Buckeye, AZ; 19 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sons- Donald Raymond and Mark Stephen, brother- Aldemore Chaput. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 4, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic with the Rev. Barry Brinkman, Rev. Larry Letourneau, and Msgr. James Hake. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 9 PM Thursday, April 3, 2008 iwht an Altar Society Rosary at 5:00 PM and Vigil Service at 6:30 PM Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, KS. The family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or Donor's Choice.
