Ivadell Ann Christian age 79 passed away May 6th 2014, at Mesa AZ. She was born April 25, 1935 to Albert and Lillian (Noltensmier) Hein at Wessington Springs, SD. Ivadell was baptized and confirmed at The Lutheran Church in Lane, SD.  She attended Grade School in a one room, all grades country school. She graduated from Wessington Springs, SD High School.  She attended South Dakota State University.

On Feb. 19, 1955 she married Norman Christian at Lane, SD. To this union 6 children were born, Cynthia A. (Mike) Fazel, Verletta J. (Paul) Moon, both of Concordia, KS, Donavan D. Christian, Manhattan, KS, Clinton M. Christian, Superior, NE, Michelle L. (Rodney) Klinkner, Manhattan, KS, Janet E. Christian and friend Jeff Bergeson, Junction City, KS.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jina Moon, Nathan Moon, Christian Fazel, Tavia Fazel, Raelle Reves, Ashley Klinkner, Chas Klinkner, Miles McGee, Braxton LeDuc, Carson Christian, Kaylee Christian, Stephanie McIntyre, Krystal Klinkner & great grandchildren: Jaden and Brenan Moon, Kate, Chance and Klara McIntyre & Judd Dick.

Ivadell was preceded in death by her parents, twin brothers that died at birth and her twin brother Ivan Lee Hein.

For 18 Plus years Ivadell worked for Mt. Joseph Senior Center.  She served on many local organizations including the Women's Div. of the Concordia area Chamber of Commerce, Cloud Co. Health Center Women Auxiliary and Senior Women of Concordia Lutheran Church.

She was very fond of the game of Bridge and was involved in the Chamber bridge marathon, plus just about any game of cards. Family dinners, time at Lovewell Lake, entertaining and cooking for her children and the grandchildren were her passions. She will be missed by many.

It was her wishes to be cremated and Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wed, May 21, 2014 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Rev. David Strommen officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Charity Cemetery, Wessington Springs, SD. Friends may sign the register book from 9 am to 9 pm with the family greeting friends from 7-9 pm on Tues., May 20, 2014 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Assoc. or the Concordia Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
