Janice Ramsey was born on August 21, 1909 in rural Glasco, Kansas to Wesley & Sena (Wells) Cline. She passed from this life on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Sunset Home, Concordia at the age of 100. Janice attended rural country & Concordia schools. She married Claude Ramsey on April 2, 1933 in Concordia, KS. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2000 after 67 years of marriage. Janice worked at Bon Marche as a salesperson for a number of years and later in the office at the Walker Sale Barn. She also was a homemaker. Janice & Claude lived in and near the Concordia area all their lives. Janice was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and several other church groups. Janice is survived by her son: Richard Ramsey & wife Jennifer, Concordia, KS; grandchildren: Lana Reyer & husband Kim, Strong City, KS, Nita Nikkel & husband Steve, Wichita, KS, Diane Wheeler & husband Brian, Fall River, KS, Dean Wineinger, Lyndon, KS & Robert Ramsey & wife Jenifer, Honolulu, HI; 9 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; parents; granddaughter, Laura; sisters, Lucille Cline & her twin sister, Geneva Duff; brothers, Coleman, Nolan, Marshall, Wilmoth & Rex Cline. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, June 14, 2010 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia with Pastor L. Dean Thompson officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Visitation will be from 1-8 PM with the family greeting friends from 7-8 PM, Sunday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Trinity United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
