Janice K. Stener, age 54, was born on June 26, 1959 in Concordia, KS to Bruce & Stella (Kendell) Ward. She died on Aug. 13, 2013 at Hilltop Lodge Nursing Home, Beloit, KS.

Janice attended schools in Concordia. She married Eugene C. Stener on Nov. 10, 1979 in Belleville, KS and he preceded her on Dec. 7, 1998. Janice was a homemaker.

She is survived by her mother, Stella Waite, Miltonvale; son, Matthew Whitley, Jamestown; brothers, Terry Greer, Frank Waite IV & Bob Waite; sister, Joyce; a host of other relatives & all her family at Hilltop Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene & a brother.

The family selected cremation and will hold Memorial Graveside services at 11:30 am on Sat., Aug. 24, 2013 at the Danish Lutheran Cemetery, Jamestown with Randy Whitley officiating. There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorials to the Janice K. Stener Memorial Fund for expenses & Matthew's Education in care of the funeral home.
