John F. Campbell was born on June 27, 1936 in Battlefield, MO to Orville & Marjorie (Payne) Campbell. He died on Tues., Dec. 6, 2011 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 75. John served in the US Air Force from 1955-1957 during the Korean Conflict. He married Mary Parsons on July 14, 1957 in Harlingen, TX. John was a carpenter and later a truck driver for 18 years until 2005. He was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting & Fishing Club. He is survived by his wife: Mary Campbell, Aurora, KS; son: John R. Campbell & wife Dawna, Concordia, KS; daughters: Cynthia L. Ruegsegger & husband Leland, Thornton, CO, Debra K. Penna & husband Jim, Aurora, CO & Lisa D. Campbell, Morrison, CO; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister: Dorothy A. Bilyeu, Searcy, AR; brother in law: Donald L. Parsons, Sr., Bisbee, AZ & several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Jeremy Ruegsegger & Allen Horchem & sisters, Linda Campbell, Mary Edwards & Nancy Moss. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Fri, Dec. 9, 2011 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Pastor L. Dean Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 7 PM Thurs. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services and family burial will be at a later date at the Crown Hill Cemetery, Lakewood, CO. The family suggests memorials to the Child Abuse Prevention Association or CASA in care of the funeral home.
