Jonathan H. Scott was born on Nov. 23, 1980 in Seward, NE to Monte & Pat (Young) Scott. He passed from this life on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 30. Jonathan grew up in the Seward, NE area. He received his high school diploma while volunteering with the Job Corp. He later graduated from Beloit Vo-Tech as an LPN and was currently acquiring credits for his RN degree. He worked as an LPN at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS. During his time with the Job Corp., Jonathan volunteered with the fire dept. and fought forest fires in Colorado and volunteered at various nursing homes. Jonathan was always giving of himself to others and was especially devoted to the care of his grandmother, Marguerite Scott who preceded him on July 8, 2011. He is survived by his partner: Nathan Bargen, Concordia, KS; parents: Monte & Pat Scott, Sargent, NE; sister: Alaunda J. Scott King, St. Joseph, MO; brothers: David M. Scott, Sargent, NE, Adam R. Scott, Sargent, NE, Jacob E. Scott, Longmont, CO, Jarod F. Scott, Broken Bow, NE & Michael J. Scott, Cheyenne, WY & grandmother: Mary Ann Young, Lamar, CO. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin & Marguerite Scott & Frank Young. It was Jonathan''s wishes to be cremated and wake services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 from 2-4 PM at the Concordia City Park East Shelter, Concordia, KS with additional Celebration of Life Services held at a later date in Sargent, NE. The family suggests memorials to the Jonathan Scott Memorial in care of Nathan Bargen.
