Joshua D. Kindel was born on Nov. 22, 1980 in Concordia, Kansas to Don & Carol (May) Kindel. He passed from this life on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at his mother's home in Bennington, Kansas at the age of 28. Joshua graduated from Hays High School. He then graduated from Wyoming Technical School with a degree in Auto Body repair. Joshua worked for Hays Mack Truck in Hays and Phalen's in Atchinson, KS. Joshua was a talented painter and was aspiring to attend cooking school. Joshua had a deep passion for painting and cooking. He also loved being with his dog, Whiskey. He is survived by his father: Don Kindel, Hays, KS; mother: Carol Kindel, Bennington, KS; brothers: John Kindel & wife Joy, Olathe, KS & Jeremy Kindel, Pittsfield, MA; nieces & nephew:Daniel & Meghan Kindel, Olathe, KS, Emily Smith & husband Kirby, Bennington, KS & Sara Schmidt, Salina, KS & his grandmother: Bernadine Kindel, Concordia, KS. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Kindel, Jr. & grandparents, William Kindel, John & Velda May. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Wed., Aug. 19, 2009 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Aurora, KS with Rev. Larry Letourneau officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 9 PM with a Rosary at 6:30 PM on Tues., Aug. 18, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Joshua Kindel Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
