Juanita E. Campton was born on May 20, 1914 in Payson, Oklahoma to Wilson P. and Bertha Cartwright Townsdin.  She passed from this life on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Sunset Nursing Home in Concordia, Kansas at the age of 93. She attended schools in Newton, KS and graduated from Newton High School before moving to Concordia.  She married Earl L. Campton on Dec. 4, 1941 in Concordia and they lived their entire married lives in the Concordia area.  He preceded her in death on May 15, 1991.  She was a sales clerk for Montgomery Wards in Concordia for many years.  She was a member of the First Christian Church.  She is survived by her daughter, Connie Hayden and husband Norman, Concordia, KS; a grandson, Heath Hayden and wife Laura, Olathe, KS; a great granddaughter, Olivia Easter, Olathe, KS; nieces, Nancy Regnier Galleni, Belmont, CA and Margaret Regnier Hendricksen, Lockeford, CA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her parents and a brother, David S. Townsdin.  Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM on Friday, February 22, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, KS.  The family will hold private family services and burial.  The family suggests memorials to Sunset Nursing Home.
