Kari B. McCall, age 86, entered into rest on Saturday April 22, 2023, at Marquis Place, Concordia, Kansas. She was born on November 9, 1936, in Scandia, Kansas to Carl E. and Alice E. (Morse) Norgard.  Kari grew up on the family farm outside of Scandia, helping her father and brother with chores.

Kari was a 1954 graduate of Scandia High School, Scandia, Kansas. She married the love of her life, Albert M. McCall, on June 4, 1954, at the Scandia Lutheran Church in Scandia, Kansas. They were happily married for 68 years.  To this union three children were born, Greg, Randy, and Jeff.

Kari enjoyed taking trips with family and friends, playing bingo, bowling, and going to casinos with friends.  She loved her family and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren's band and dance performances and sporting activities.

She was a homemaker while her children were young and then worked for 20 years at MC Industries in Belleville, Kansas when her children were older.

Kari is survived by her sons, Greg McCall (Cindy), Overland Park, Kansas; Randy McCall (Christine), Lawrence, Kansas; Jeff McCall (Stormy), Twin Falls, Idaho; 5 grandchildren, Zach McCall, Junu McCall, Matthew McCall, Bethanie Cedeño-McCall (Joseph), Madison McCall; sister-in-law, Doris McCall, New Cambria, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Alice, her husband, Albert McCall, and her brother, Carl Norgard.

Visitation will be held from 1-8 pm with the family receiving friends from 6-7 pm on Thursday April 27, 2023, at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Concordia Lutheran Church, Concordia, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Poplar Grove Cemetery, Scandia, KS.
