Karl Morgan was born on August 6, 1934 in Republic County, Kansas to Frank D. and Bertha J. Wilson Morgan. He passed from this life on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, Kansas at the age of 73. He graduated from Belleville High School. He married Sharon Morgan on Oct. 20, 1957 in Concordia, KS. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2008. He was a lifetime area resident and farmer. He was a member of The Baptist Church, Concordia, the Gideon's and served on a Rural Water Dist. Board. He is survived by a son, Kent Morgan and wife Terry, Rural Concordia, KS; daughters, Karla Morgan, Omaha, NE, C.J. Pata and husband Mark, Hoisington, KS, Karyl Ferguson and husband Kent, Glade, KS and Kari Champlin and husband Steve, Concordia, KS; a sister, Matilda Richey and husband Charles, Mobile, AL and 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at The Baptist Church, Concordia with Pastor David Fabarez officiating. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Norway, KS. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family receiving friends from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Monday, June 9, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to Gideon's International.
