Katharina Wirth Adams, age 86, Concordia, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Republic County Hospital in Belleville, Kansas.

Katharina was born on December 20, 1934 in Yugoslavia, then she and her family emigrated to Canada at the end of World War II. She later met and married Richard Duane Adams in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on July 27, 1956.

Kay, as her friends called her, and Richard moved back to the United States in 1962. They lived in California and Texas before returning to Richard's hometown of Delphos, Kansas. Kay built a successful antique business in town which she later moved out to the US Highway 81-24 junction before she retired in Concordia, Kansas.

Kay is survived by two daughters, Carole Mendenhall and Deborah Barr; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, living in Kansas, Nebraska and Texas.

She is preceded by her parents, siblings and daughter, Cheryl Huffman.
