Obituary

Keenan Lee Bergstrom, 24, Englewood, CO, formerly of Clyde, KS, died at The University of Texas-MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, on December 25, 2010.  Keenan was born April 21, 1986, at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS, to Jonathan and Sondra (Brownell) Bergstrom. He attended Clyde Grade School, Clifton-Clyde Jr. High, and Clifton-Clyde High School, graduating in 2004. He participated in football, basketball, track, power-lifting and summer baseball. He was involved in forensics, FFA, school plays and art. His love of art led him to pursue a degree in Industrial Design at The Art Institute of Colorado in Denver. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2008. He worked for Burwell Industries where he traveled to cities across the country designing and building trade show booths.  Keenan's pride and joy was his two year old daughter Emma Rose, who allowed him to see life through a little girl's eyes. He was passionate about his art projects, his truck, and his mountain biking. He designed and built his own carbon-fiber bike and rode it down mountain trails in The Colorado Rockies.  Survivors include daughter, Emma Rose Bergstrom of Englewood; her mother Maggie Hadden of Englewood; parents Jonathan and Sondra Bergstrom of Clyde; sister Lindsay Bergstrom of Nashville, TN; grandparents Lee and Sarah Elizabeth Bergstrom of Clyde; grandparents Harry and Janice Brownell of Concordia; aunts and uncles, Rod Bergstrom of Loveland, CO; Pam Saulnier and husband Don of Olathe, KS; Melinda Bergstrom of Clyde; Larry Brownell and wife Kim of Concordia; cousins, Hannah, Christina, Sarah, Ryan, Stephanie, Cassidy, Mackenzie, Shelby, Lacey and Braden; and many other relatives and friends.  Visitation will be at Clyde Mortuary on Thursday, December 30, 2010, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with family there from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 31, 2010, at 10:30 am., at Clyde United Methodist Church, with Gary Carlson officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Clyde, KS.  Memorials may be made to Emma Rose Bergstrom Education Fund.
