Kelly M. Johnson was born on January 8, 1984 to James "Jim" & Shirley (Johnson) Johnson. She died on Sunday, April 1, 2007 near Blaine, Kansas in Potawattomie County at the age of 23. She graduated from Concordia High School in 2002. She was studying welding at Highland Community College in Wamego. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Concordia, KS. She also assisted Lifeline of Concordia with setting up and implementing their program. She loved her 6 cats and black lab and enjoyed her scrap booking hobby. She was a devoted daughter, sister & friend. She is survived by her parents; Jim & Shirley Johnson of Concordia; a sister; Stacy Mitchell & Hus. Rocky of Topeka, KS; Niece & Nephew; Rachelle & Cole Mitchell of Topeka, KS; Grandparents; Gerna Johnson and Herb & Marcine Johnson all of Concordia, KS; her fiance; Alex Bench of Wamego, KS; 3 Aunts; 2 Uncles and numerous additional relatives and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Concordia, KS with Rev. Sandra K. Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Grace Hill Cemetery in Belleville, KS. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 9 PM Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 7-8 PM Tuesday. The family requests memorials to either the First United Methodist Church or the Donor's Choice.
