Kenneth Reed Sanford, 84 years of age, of Concordia, formerly of Jamestown , passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia. He was born on September 13, 1928 near Jamestown to Reed and Matie Belle (Bonebrake) Sanford. Kenneth graduated from Jamestown High School . He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Kenneth married Carolyn J. Andersen in Jamestown on January 26, 1958. He was a farmer all his life and enjoyed reading and KU and K-State ball games. Kenneth always had a passion for Rat Terrier dogs, motorcycles, and sports cars.

Kenneth is survived by 4 children, Stephanie Struble (Philip) of Lawrence, Steve Sanford (David Ramirez), Scott Sanford (Susan), both of Topeka, Tracy Tucker (Terry) of Fairbury, Nebraska; 7 grandchildren, Andrew, Aarynne, Adrienne, and Elizabeth Struble, Drake, Cassie, and Duncan Tucker; 2 brothers-in-law, Norris Andersen, Norman Andersen; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Bergeson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Carolyn on July 21, 1994.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia with Rev. Dean Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland ( Summit ) Cemetery south of Jamestown . Closed Casket visitation will be held from noon to 9 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2013 with family greeting friends from 5:30 to 7 PM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Glasco Public Library in care of the funeral home. Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia in charge of arrangements.
