Kevin Lee Kindel, age 49, of Aurora,Ks passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Kevin was the youngest and rumored to be most stubborn child, of William Eugene "Gene" and Mary Kathleen "Kathy" (May) Kindel.
For many years, Kevin enjoyed the outdoors - hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and camping. He had particularly fond memories of two fishing trips to Canada.
Kevin attended Concordia High School, graduating in 1995, and worked nearly 25 years at Cloud Ceramics. He enjoyed time on the farm with his cattle, dogs, and the garage cat who was always on the workbench when Kevin was working on a project.
Kevin married Jennifer (Coleman) in 2002, and they were blessed with two sons, Will Kindel who resides near Aurora and Kevin "Wade" Kindel who resides near Beloit.
Kevin was a member of the Aurora Knights of Columbus, a 4th Degree Member of the Bishop Thill Assembly Knights of Columbus, and St Peter's Catholic Church in Aurora.
He is survived by wife Jennifer, sons Will and Wade, and siblings Mike (Jackie), Allen (Missy) Kindel and Kathleen (Tony) Miller, many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Aurora, KS on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Joseph Kieffer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, KS.
Visitation will take place at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday 28, 2026. The rosary will be prayed at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Aurora on Thursday, May 28 at 6:00 p.m. with family greeting friends until 8:00 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Freedom Club – Concordia, KS for those locally that are struggling with alcoholism, and can be sent in care of Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, P.O. Box 606, Concordia, KS 66901. For online condolences, visit www.chaputbuoy.com
