Larry V. Crum was born on Nov. 19, 1942 in Concordia , KS to Virgil O. & Clara V. (Istas) Crum. He died at his home in Jamestown , KS on Thurs, July 12, 2012 at the age of 69.

Larry attended Dist. 11 school and then Jamestown schools. Larry owned C&I cycle sales and was involved in various other business ventures before becoming an area farmer and rancher for the remainder of his life. He was a member of the AQHA.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Sherri Alderson (Dana) & Rhonda Wiss (Craig), both of McPherson; son, Kurtis Crum (Stacey), Concordia; step daughter, Autumn Keller (Bill), Fairview, UT; special friend, Mickey Benfield, Salina; brothers, LeRoy (Janet), Oskaloosa, Michael (Bonnie), Meriden & Darrell, Kackley; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Edrie Dooley & great grandson, Kooper Eilrich. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Mon, July 16 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Larry Retherford officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery , Concordia. Visitation will be from 12-9 PM, Sun. at the funeral home with family greeting friends from 6-8 PM. The family suggests memorials to Solomon Valley Hospice or Giving Hope, McPherson in care of the funeral home.
