LaRue Jean Hansen, age 91, entered into rest on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, Kansas.  She was born on July 15, 1930 in Jamestown, Kansas to Charles and  Alice (Richardson) Lundblade.

LaRue grew up in the Jamestown community attending school in Jamestown

LaRue was married to Edwin Flinn and to this union six wonderful children were born, Janice, Jennifer, Jody, Jackie, Jennie, and Jeffrey.  They later divorced.

She worked as a Nurses Aid at the Sunset Nursing Home for many years and later at the Marquis Place of both of Concordia.

LaRue enjoyed playing bingo, attending her card club, reading novels and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

She was a member of the American Legion Women's Aux and V.F.W. Women's Aux both of Concordia.

She is survived by her six children, Janice Edwards (Clifford), Salina, KS; Jennifer Ramsey (Richard), Concordia, KS; Jody Sappington, Houston, TX; Jackie Eyer, Belleville, KS; Jennie Martin (Doug), Douglas, WY; and Jeffrey Flinn (Sandy), Baytown, TX; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Earl, Archie and Albert Lundblade, sisters, Mae Hollingsworth, Leota Nelson, Pearl Peterson, Dora Fraser and son-in-law, John Eyer.

Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas with Pastor Jacob Rice officiating.  Burial will follow in the Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, Kansas.
