Lauranne Danielson Boyd was born on Aug. 30, 1915 in Clyde, Kansas to George and Olivia Carlson Danielson. She passed from this life on Monday, July 16, 2007 at Sunset Nursing Home in Concordia, Kansas at the age of 91. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1933. After graduating from high school, she worked as a chief telephone operator for United Telephone, as a bookkeeper for Concordia Creamery, as an office manager for Boogaart Foods, and until her retirement, as the office manager for Boyd Oil Company and co-owner. She married Hugh C. Boyd on Oct. 23, 1950. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1974. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women in Concordia. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Keltner and Hus. Mike, Medicine Lodge, Kansas; son, Hugh Charles "Chuck" Boyd and wife Maureen, Palm City, Florida; sister, Margaret Boogaart, Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Scott Keltner and wife Jody, Eudora, KS; Dustin Keltner, Pratt, KS; Lauranne Boyd, FL and Kevin Boyd, FL; great grandchildren, Abby and Hanna Keltner, Eudora, KS; several nieces, nephews and dear friends, including the wonderful staff as Sunset Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh; her parents; 2 brothers, Clifford and Herb and sister, Gertrude. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia with Rev. Sandra K. Moore officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 9 PM Wed., July 18, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the CKLS Talking Books Program, Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia Senior Citizens Center and the 1st United Methodist Women.
