Leonard N. Parks was born on May 25, 1966 in Salina, Kansas to LaVerne W. Parks, Sr. and Betty Ann Frybarger. He passed from this life on Oct. 9, 2008 at his home in Brookville, KS at the age of 42. He graduated from Concordia High School in 1986. He was a cook and Asst. Night Kitchen Manager at Russell's Restaurant for over 20 years. He enjoyed working at Russell's and spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Betty Myers, Concordia, KS; his father, LaVerne Parks, Sr., Concordia, KS; brothers, J.R. Parks & wife Karen, Concordia, KS, Leroy Parks, Salina, KS, Brian Myers, Orlando, FL; sisters, Beverly Parks, Concordia, KS, Barbara Parks, Topeka, KS, Terri Myers, Concordia, KS, Cindy Myers, Shawnee Mission, KS, Wanda Parks, Overland Park, KS and Melinda Parks, MO. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents & Step-Father- Jimmy Myers. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Mon, Oct. 13, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia, KS with Rev. Dean R. Frazier officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-9 PM with the family greeting friends from 7-8 PM, Sun, Oct. 12, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the Leonard Parks Memorial.
