Leora M. Gepner, 84 years of age, of McPherson, formerly of Concordia, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Edinburgh Manor Apartments in McPherson. She was born on February 20, 1928 in Concordia to Leslie and Viola May (Cyphers) Schleuder. She married Chester "Marvin" Gepner on October 5, 1942 in Belleville . Leora enjoyed traveling, shopping, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Leora is survived by 3 sons, Jeffrey L. Gepner and wife Freida of Superior , Nebraska , Randy B. Gepner of McPherson, Steven W. Gepner of Moundridge; 4 daughters, Carol M. Price of Vero Beach, Florida, Karen S. Kagle and husband George of McPherson, Deanna L. Toland and husband Tim of Clinton, Oklahoma, Cynthia A. Power and husband Greg of Marquette; 25 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren with 3 on the way; brother, Lawrence Schleuder of Concordia; sister, Donna Thyfault of Salt Lake City, Utah; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin on October 8, 1989; son, Stanley D. Gepner; 2 daughters, Deborah K. Kelso, Theresa L. Leathers; twin sister, Leona; sister, Ruth; and 2 brothers, Bobby and Lyle.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia with Pastor Vernon Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia. Visitation will be held from 8 AM to 10 AM Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
