Lester I. Brown was born on June 17, 1927 in Santa Rosa, CA. His parents were Mr. Brown & Etta (Harper) Brown. He passed from this life on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia at the age of 82. Lester grew up and graduated from high school in California and then attended business college. He joined the US Navy and served during WWII. Lester enjoyed traveling all across the country and made friends everywhere he went. He also enjoyed cooking. Lester was a member of the American Legion #227 of Clifton. He is survived by his daughter: Leslie Koch & husband Mark, Clifton, KS; grandchildren: Amber Rudolph & husband Jeff, Clyde, KS, Shannon Ryan & husband Danny, Marquette, KS & Candice Casey, Downey, CA; step grandchildren: Matt Koch & wife Kristin, Chicago, IL, Brandon Koch & wife Lisa, Baldwin City, KS & Dylan Koch, Clifton, KS & 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents & a brother, Glenn Hull. Lester's wishes were to be cremated and the family will hold memorial services at a later date. The family suggests memorials to the Community Care Nursing Home, Clifton or the Donor's Choice in care of the funeral home.
