Lila H. Johnson was born on May 12, 1921 in Mc Gregor, North Dakota to Ludvig and Kirsten Rustad Hovde.  She passed from this life on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia at the age of 87.  She graduated from Mc Gregor High School in North Dakota.  She married Selmer Johnson on Dec. 22, 1946 in Crosby, ND.  She worked at Woolworth's for about 20 years.  She was always active in the different churches she attended.  She and Selmer moved to Concordia in 2002.  She is survived by her daughter, Sherryl Frain and husband Mark, Concordia, KS; son Lyle Johnson and wife Barbara, Aurora, CO; 3 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Selmer; her parents; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the New Horizon Community Church, Concordia with Pastor Bill Greenwood, officiating.  Visitation will be from 9 AM to 9 PM Thurs. with the family greeting friends from 6-8 PM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.  Burial will follow ther services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.  The family suggests memorials to the New Horizon Community Church.
