Lillan Matheson was born June 12, 1920 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Joseph and Mary Louisa Gosselin Favreau.  She passed away on October 27, 2008 at Community Care Center, Clifton, KS at the age of 88.  She moved to Damar, Kansas in 1937.  She married Art Matheson.  She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Aurora, Kansas.  She is survived by her sons: Tommy Joe Matheson and wife Ruth, Olathe, KS; Bill Matheson, Garden City, KS; sister JoAnn Adams and husband Junior, Emporia, KS; sister-in-law Alma Favreau, Dodge City, KS; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, a granddaughter, and daughter-in-law.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 30, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, KS.  Visitation will be 4 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde, KS with a parish rosary at 7:00 PM.  Burial will be at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, KS.  The family suggests memorials to the Lillian Matheson Memorial Fund.
