Lillian A. Ruud was born on January 4, 1921 in Libourne, France to Alcide H. and Odette Denise Lagasso Cyrier. She passed from this life on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Sunset Nursing Home in Concordia, Kansas at the age of 86. She graduated from Jamestown High School. She married Arthur Ruud on July 28, 1938 in Concordia, KS. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2006. She was a lifelong area resident, farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, west of Jamestown and a current member of Concordia Lutheran Church where she was active in the LWML. She was a member of the E.H.U. for over 65 years and a Free Baptist Mission Church member. Lillian enjoyed her grandchildren and her time helping at the church. She is survived by her sons, Wayne and Jerry Ruud, Concordia, Kansas, step-brother, Richard Brooks and wife Sally, Concordia, Kansas, grandchildren, Brian Ruud, Salem, NH, his daughter Brooke and fiance, LeLe Troung, Jackson, Mississippi, Stacy Mowry and Hus. Craig and their children, Luke and Linnea, Phillipsburg, Kansas and Brandon Ruud and wife Deana and their children, Sydney and Tyson, Bonner Springs, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, her parents and 2 brothers, Leonard and Bernard Cyrier. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 1, 2007 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Concordia, Kansas with Rev. David Strommen officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 PM to 9 PM, Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 7-8:30 PM. Burial will follow the services at St. Luke's Cemetery, West of Jamestown, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to Sunset Nursing Home, Meadowlark Hospice and Concordia Lutheran Church.
