Linda K. Machen was born on Jan. 29, 1962 in Colby, KS to Larry & Charlene (Brown) Machen.  She died on Tues, Feb. 14, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare Center, Topeka, KS at the age of 50.  She graduated from Concordia High School in 1980 and then Cloud County Community College with an Associate of Science in Nursing in 1982.  Linda was an RN and served as a psychiatric nurse for nursing homes and hospitals in Texas and Kansas.  Linda always enjoyed her grandchildren and spending precious time together with them.  She is survived by her sons, Ryan Balderston & Erin; Lawrence, KS & Brent Reisdorph, Topeka, KS; daughter, Charla Reisdorph & Mike Sollars, Topeka, KS; grandchildren, Nylah, Devon & Kolbi Balderston, Penrose, CO; parents, Larry & Charlene Machen, Concordia, KS; sisters, Cathy Forshee & husband Tom, Aurora, KS & Susan Kindel and husband Stephen, Aurora, KS; brother, Dr. Mike Machen & wife Sue, Quinter, KS and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents.  Cremation was selected and Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Mon, Feb. 20, 2012 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating.  Friends may sign the register book from 12-8 PM, Sun. with family greeting friends from 6-7 PM at the funeral home.  The family suggests memorials to the Cloud County Community College Nursing Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
