Obituary

Linda S. Mills, age 67, left this earthly life on Tues, Aug. 9, 2016 at her home in Concordia, KS surrounded by her family. She was born on Feb. 19, 1949 in Denver, CO to Eugene L. & Phyllis V. (Fitch) Valcoure.

Linda graduated from Concordia High School in 1968. She married Richard "Tex" Mills on June 21, 1968 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Aurora, KS. Linda worked at the Cloud County Health Dept. as an administrative assistant for close to 40 years. She was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church, Aurora and the American Legion Auxiliary, Concordia for over 20 years. Her hobbies included camping, gardening and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her husband, Richard "Tex" Mills; daughter, Rachel Gropp & son, Travis Mills (Kim), all of Concordia; 6 grandchildren; sister, Maleta Bankenstein (Bob), Greeley, CO & brother, Perry Valcoure (Sharon Troxel), Geneva, NE; several nieces & nephews & a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Fri., Aug. 12, 2016 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Dean R. Frazier officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Aurora. Visitation will be from 10 am to 9 pm, Thurs., Aug. 11, 2016 with a Rosary service at 6:30 pm and the family greeting friends after the Rosary, all at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Solomon Valley Hospice in care of the funeral home.
