Lisa L. Huber was born on December 20, 1962 in Wamego, KS to Gerald & Edna (Brase) Litke. She passed from this life on Wed., Dec. 15, 2010 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 47. Lisa attended Lutheran grade school and graduated from Wabaunsee Co. High School. She attended Johnson County Community College and Emporia State and graduated from Cloud County Community College. She married Eric Huber on June 11, 1987 in Alma, KS. Lisa worked for the Math and Science Dept. at Cloud County Community College for 10 years. She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church. Lisa loved to take pictures of her sons playing sports, her friends and constantly had a camera in her hands. She loved all types of outdoor activities; kayaking, golf and a host of other activities. She had an affinity for all animals and was constantly bringing in new members to the house. Lisa was especially involved with the CHS Booster club and supporting her sons athletic endeavors. It was only with the support of her friends and the boys' other 'mothers' that Lisa was able to make it through each day. Lisa put forth a courageous fight against her cancer and strived to live each day to it's fullest. She is survived by her husband: Eric Huber, Concordia, KS; sons: Brandon Huber, Concordia, KS, Joshua Huber, Concordia, KS & Justin Huber, Concordia, KS; sisters: Laurel Navinsky & husband David, Washington, KS, Sandy Downs & husband George, Tonganoxie, KS & Sue Billings & husband Steve, Topeka, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Tues., Dec. 21, 2010 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Rev. David Strommen officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family greeting friends from 6-8 PM, Mon., Dec. 20, 2010 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the Concordia Lutheran Church or the Tammy Walker Cancer Center in care of the funeral home.
