Lloyd Emanuel Erickson, age 91, died Fri., Nov. 28, 2014 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS. Lloyd was born on the family farm in Clifton Township, Washington Co., KS to Emanuel & Edith (Peterson) Erickson.

He graduated from Clyde High School and attended Kansas State University. He served in the US Merchant Marines during WWII. He married Vivian M. (Kelly) Lowe on May 1, 1949 in Stockton, KS. Lloyd was a lifetime area farmer. He was a member of the Brantford Evangelical Covenant Church. He served on the Cloud County Community College Board of Trustees, the Elk State Bank board, FHA board and was an Elder at the former Presbyterian Church in Clyde. Lloyd was involved with a host of civic activities & groups in the area.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian, Clyde; daughters, Carol Sue Blecha (Paul) & Janet Jones (Nick), both of Belleville; son, Tom Erickson (Julie), Clifton; sister, Geneva Denholm, Manhattan; grandchildren, Amy, Daniel, Matthew, Ethan, Aaron, Abigail, Rebekah, Seth, Joel & great-grandchildren, Megan, Chelsea, Grace, Carson, Bernadette, Matilda, Gage, Grant, Isaac, Saul, Lydia, Emeri, Henley, Ezra.

He was preceded in death by his son, Marc; parents; sisters, Clarice Barger & Gwendolyn Stevenson & an infant brother.

Funeral services will be at 10 am on Tue., Dec. 2, 2014 at the Brantford Evangelical Covenant Church, Rural Clyde with Pastors Derek VanderMolen & Russell Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Clyde. Visitation will be from 11 am to 8 pm with family greeting from 6-8 pm, Mon., Dec. 1, 2014 at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde. The family suggests memorials to the Country Chapel Hour sponsored by the Brotherhood at Brantford Evangelical Covenant Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
