Lloyd H. Feasel was born on Nov. 9, 1916 in Concordia, KS to Grant & Mary (Husted) Feasel. He passed from this life on Wed., May 20, 2009 at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, KS at the age of 92. Lloyd attended & graduated from Concordia schools. He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Alaska. Lloyd married Bettie Howell in Chanute, KS on Feb. 4, 1944. She preceded him in death on Oct. 19, 2008. He retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad in California in 1976 after working for 34 years. Lloyd & Bettie made their homes in California & Utah, moving 32 times before making their home in Concordia, KS after retirement. Lloyd was a member of The Baptist Church, a lifetime member of American Legion Post #76 & VFW Post #588. He also was a past trustee of the Cloud County Museum. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Campbell, Jackson, MI; grandchildren, Michelle Feasel, Burleson, TX & Corinne Hale, Weatherford, TX & 4 great grandchildren. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie; son, Anthony "Tony" Feasel; parents; 7 brothers & 4 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Sat., May 23, 2009 at The Baptist Church, Concordia with Dennis Knapp officiating. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to The Baptist Church or Sunset Nursing Home.
