Lloyd L. Snavely was born on June 20, 1951 in Concordia, KS to Floyd O. & Mildred M. (Jack) Snavely. He passed from this life on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS at the age of 59. Lloyd grew up and attended school in Concordia. He was a lifetime area resident. He married Mary Starkey on Nov. 23, 1978 in Arkansas City, KS. Lloyd worked for several years with Charlie McDaniel at McDaniel Monuments until illness forced him to retire. Lloyd always enjoyed the company of his friends and family. He is survived by his wife: Mary Snavely, Concordia, KS; nephew: Brandon Snavely, Concordia, KS; mother: Mildred Snavely, Lindsborg, KS; brothers: Rev. Duane Snavely & wife Jane, Oklahoma City, OK & Steven Snavely & wife Janet, Concordia, KS; sisters: Diane Knuckles & husband Robert, Malakoff, TX, Mardell Snavely, Concordia, KS & Annette Bartlett & husband Randy, Assaria, KS & a sister in law: Janet Snavely, Concordia, KS. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd & brother, Leland. Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Wed.,Jan. 5, 2011 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Snavely officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 9 PM & family will greet friends from 7-8 PM Tues. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, KS. The family suggests memorials to the Saline County Dialysis in care or the funeral home.
