Lorena M. Alexander, age 93, passed away, March 20, 2015 at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson, KS. She was born on Feb. 26, 1922 in Miltonvale, KS to George D. & Mary M. (Dallen) Gunter.

She married Kenneth A. Alexander on June 18, 1941 in Aurora, KS. He preceded her on Aug. 4, 2008.

She was a devoted mother & housewife. She also worked for many years as a Nurse's Aide at the St. Joseph Hospital and for the Gelvin-Haughey Medical Clinic. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, VFW #588 Ladies Auxiliary and Women of the Moose Lodge #1428.

She is survived by her sons; Kenneth (Judy), Montpelier, ID; Robert (Gladys), Houston, TX; Edmond (Mary Ellen), Hutchinson, KS.; Dennis (Terri), Newton, KS.; daughters; Marie Deutsch (Russ), Hartsburg, MO; Sharon Ratzlaff (Loyd), Inman, KS.; Yvonne Hein (Alan), Augusta, KS.; & Denise Finan (Frank), Blaine, KS.; 24 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth & her parents, 2 brothers, George & Edmond Gunter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Lager officiating. Burial will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2015 all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday evening.
