M. Blanche Mossburgh was born on Aug. 26, 1920 in St. Joseph, KS to Joseph & Anna (Perret) Girard. She died on Thurs., May 10, 2012 at Mt. Joseph Senior Village, Concordia at the age of 91. She married Ovid F. Mossburgh on March 6, 1943 in Lubbock, TX. He preceded her on Feb. 2, 1986. She graduated from Concordia High School. She worked as a clerk at B&J Drug and then later as a CNA at St. Mary's Hospital, Concordia. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Altar Society and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Thoman & husband Boyd, Concordia, KS; son, Stephen Mossburgh & wife Tanya, Palmer, AK; sisters, Dora Mae Moffett, Concordia, KS & Patricia Decker, Seattle, WA; special adopted daughter, Bonnie Bray, Aurora, KS; grandchildren, Jan & Dan Anderson, Mike Wood, Jeff & Shella Thoman, Kevin Thoman, Kathy & Jimmy Farmer, Cheriee Mossburgh & Luke Mossburgh; great grandchildren, Jeremy Anderson, Shelby & Tyson Douglas, Jessica Collette & Noah & Isaac Thoman & great great grandchildren, Kieran & Suttyn Douglas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ovid; daughter, Helen Ann Almon; parents; 4 brothers & 8 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Tues., May 15, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating with burial following at St. Concordia Cemetery. Visitation will be on Mon, May 14, 2012 from 10 AM to 9 PM with an Altar Society Rosary at 5 PM and Vigil services at 6:30 PM all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
