Mabel Marie Bisnett, formerly of Aurora, KS, was born on Sept. 4, 1911 at her grandparents farm, north of Clifton, KS in Washington, County. She passed from this life on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Mitchell Co. Hospital, Beloit, KS at the age of 98. Mabel was raised by her grandmother, Mary Bisnett & attended schools in Cloud Co. She married George E. Bisnett at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Rectory in Concordia, KS on Oct. 6, 1926. They farmed in Cloud County & the Aurora area their entire life until George preceded her in death on July 9, 1981. Mabel was a homemaker, but also worked at the St. Joseph Hospital in the laundry and housekeeping department. Mabel also did wallpapering, textile painting, embroidering & playing Bingo. After she gave up driving a car, her greatest enjoyment was a good game of cards. Mabel is survived by her daughters: Pauline Allison, Beloit, KS & Louise Sutton (Jim), Beloit, KS; son: Delmar Bisnett (Phyllis), Hoyt, KS; daughter in law: Connie Bisnett, Hoyt, KS; grandchildren: Khris Douglas, Brian, Mark & Robert Dillner, Karen Brinker, Anita Mellies, Paula Bouley, Mike Bisnett, Vicky Bisnett & Vera Kozubek; 23 great grandchildren & 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sons, Raymond Bisnett & wife Ann & Virgil; grandsons, Randy & David Bisnett; granddaughters, Kathleen Dillner & Pennie Bisnett; great grandson, Ryan Kozubek; 5 brothers & 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Wed., July 28, 2010 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Letourneau officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family greeting friends from 7-8 PM, Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the Family's Choice in care of the funeral home.
