Mabel Etta Starkey, age 94, died Friday, April 13, 2007 at Sunset Nursing Home.  Mabel was born March 5, 1913 to John and Mina Bliss Demanette.  She married Clarence W. Starkey on March 21, 1929 at Concordia, Kansas, to this union 3 children were born.  He preceded her in death on January 27, 1977.  She was a homemaker.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Clyde.  Survivors include: 2 daughters: Joan Mosher and Husband Gene of Russell, KS; and Betty Lyon and Husband Don, of Topeka, KS; 2 sisters: Rose Douglas of Lindsborg; and Nellie Kurtz of Haysville, KS; 8 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; several Great Great Grandchildren, numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.  She was preceded in death by her Husband, parents, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, a son- Walter Starkey, and a Great Granddaughter- Sandie.  Services will be 1:30PM, Monday, April 16, 2007 at Chaput- Buoy Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Hughes.  Visitation will be 2pm to 9pm Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Clyde, KS.  Memorials may be given to Sunset Nursing Home in care of the Funeral Home.
